Healthy Lifestyle Classes to Support Your Journey

Taking care of your body and mind is an important part of living well with cancer. CSCDE Healthy Lifestyle classes are designed to reduce stress, improve energy, and support overall well-being. Led by experienced instructors and wellness professionals, these classes give you practical tools you can use every day. Programs are provided at no cost and are offered in person and online, so you can participate in the way that works best for you.

Class Offerings at CSCDE

Our Healthy Lifestyle Classes promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being through classes that focus on movement, mindfulness, and creative expression. Each session is welcoming and adaptable for all ability levels, both in-person and online.

Exercise Classes

  • Strength Training: Mondays at 4:30pm (In-person in New Castle County)
  • Walking Warriors at Winterthur: Fridays at 10am (New Castle County)
  • Walking Warriors: Wednesdays at 12pm (Sussex County)

Yoga and Tai Chi

  • Tai Chi in Kent County: Mondays at 10am (In-person in Dover)
  • Tai Chi in Middletown: Tuesdays at 1:45pm (In-person in Middletown)
  • Tai Chi in New Castle County: Wednesdays at 12pm (In-person in Wilmington or via Facebook Live on 2nd & 4th Wednesdays)
  • Tai Chi in Sussex County: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays at 11am (In-person)
  • Gentle Yoga in Middletown: Tuesdays at 12:30pm (In-person in Middletown)
  • Gentle Yoga in New Castle County: Tuesdays at 11am (In-person in Wilmington)
  • Beginners Yoga in Sussex: Thursdays at 11am (Sussex Hybrid)
  • Chair Yoga in New Castle County: Wednesdays at 2pm (In-person in NCC or via Facebook Live)

  • Poetry of Wellness: Tuesdays at 1:30pm (NCC Zoom)
  • Expressive Art in Sussex County: 1st Mondays at 10:30am
  • Art Therapy: Monthly class (In-person in New Castle County)

Nutrition

  • Nutrition with Elena: Monthly via Zoom or Facebook Live
  • Cooking with Chef Dave: In-person in Sussex County and via Zoom

Recorded Programs

If you cannot attend live, many Healthy Lifestyle sessions are available as recordings. You can revisit a favorite class or try something new on your own schedule. Recorded programs are a helpful way to practice at home and return to activities that bring calm and strength.
